Walktober Week 4: Tell us how far you’ve walked!

10.27.15
posted by Lee Ann Obringer

Hello fabulous teachers!

We’re nearing the end of Walktober and would love to hear how your class did. Getting your students out and moving is at the heart of what we are all about at The Walking Classroom, making this week’s challenge our favorite. No matter how much or how little you got to walk, some walking is better than no walking. Let us know!

Tell us how far you’ve walked!

monthly-walking-log-800If you are using our Monthly Walking Log to keep track of your walking then show us your progress. (If you’re not sure what we’re talking about, check out Kalie’s “Every Step Counts” post.)

› Download the Monthly Walking Log here.

Tweet it, post it, brag a little

Post or send us a photo of a student —or even your whole class— holding your Walking Log poster showing how many Walktober miles you logged. (See photo upload instructions here.)

No photo, no problem. If you don’t have time to take a photo, just Tweet or post to Facebook your total miles using the #Walktober and #TheWalkingClassroom hashtags.

If you DO have some great photos from your walks during Walktober, submit your favorites for a chance to win our three full-color health message posters. (See photo upload instructions here.)

Fitbit winner announced next week!

Stay tuned and keep walking! We’ll announce the Walktober winners next week.

Regardless of how far you walked, we hope you had fun doing it and learned a little while you were at it.

Carry on and happy trails!
