Start the Day in the Best Way!

02.01.17
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

I don’t even know where to start with The Walking Classroom. My kids absolutely love it!

Prior to using The Walking Classroom, we would start our day with a jog around the school yard to get moving. Every morning the kids would complain! They would complain when the bell rang, they would complain while unpacking, and they would complain the whole time they were running (or walking for most).

That all changed when I introduced The Walking Classroom this year. Now, each morning they beg to walk. They can’t get enough. Not only do I love their excitement, I also love when they talk about what they have learned! I hear them sharing with students in other classes, as well as talking to each other about the “cool new things” they have discovered.

This is the best way to start the day. The Walking Classroom not only gets the students in my class moving, but also starts each day off in a truly positive way for them!

It thrills me to see how eager my students are to not only walk, but learn. I love the enthusiasm in their voices that I hear as they are talking amongst themselves about the latest lesson. It is wonderful hearing from parents that they are also going home and sharing what they have learned each day.

This is by far the best thing that I have introduced into my classroom in a long time.
