Making Awesome Connections!

posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

Last year, my third graders and I were blessed with a class set of The Walking Classroom! While the weather in North Carolina last winter did not allow us to get outside and walk as much as we would have liked, the times we have used the program, my class absolutely loved it!

After walking, listening, and learning, they were so much more engaged and willing to talk and share with their walking partner once the podcast had ended. They loved it when I gave them the challenge to share something they learned from the podcast that they didn’t think any other pair would share!

They made some awesome connections between what they learned from the podcast and what we’d learned in the classroom! I am so grateful my students had the opportunity to learn in such a fun, active, and “healthy” way.

My students even asked to use The Walking Classroom daily! Once the ground finally dried up, we were able to walk, listen, and learn two to three times a week!
