With TWC students come alive!

My students love the walking classroom! Their faces light up when they
see the players being taken out of the cabinet. They love walking
around the school and they enjoy tracking their progress. They beam
when they get to place a gold star on their sneaker after they have
completed a podcast. I love the program because it gets every child
involved in the learning process. My students come alive with this
program and that makes a huge difference in the classroom.

My students love The Walking Classroom! We walk 2-3 days weekly. On rainy days, we walk inside or just stay in the room and listen to podcasts. Students take key notes and draw illustrations while listening to the podcasts. They get with a partner and work anywhere in the room they like such as under desks, tables, etc. we do the note taking on the second day we listen to a podcast. Students have really learned how to take specific , important, to the point notes. Before using these podcasts, they would just write anything down. They feel very important being allowed to have control of the WalkKits this way. We go over our notes using a process called Keep It, Trash It, or Cloud It. Such a cool activity! My students are so fortunate to have The Walking Classroom program as a learning source. We feel blessed!!
