TWC reaches autistic and ADHD students

02.24.16
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

Prior to receiving The Walking Classroom, I wondered how the children would do with this program.

I personally had great expectations of the Walking Classroom but also thought about my autistic students, ADHD students, and behavioral students. To my surprise, the students absolutely loved it. As a matter of fact, they look forward to walking and listening to the pods. The fears I had about bad conduct in the community are long gone.

So, to The Walking Classroom, I say thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have said in a previous post how surprised I was how our students really enjoyed the walking program. What we began to see is that students look forward to learning…they look forward to learning!

Working with children who have attention difficulties, behavior problems and other obstacles, it can be hard to keep them focused. The Walking Classroom continues to surprise me. This is a great program.

[Another] Great story. The students in our afterschool program do not realize that they are exercising. They look forward to getting outside and listening to the pods. That is what makes this program so great.
