I love my job, my profession, my students, my school, AND The Walking Classroom! With The Walking Classroom, I get to teach history, English/language arts, science, and health, as well as communication, teamwork, collaboration, and so much more.
Implementing The Walking Classroom is one of the best things I could have ever done as an educator to make my job easier. This program provides so many tools to aid teachers in lesson planning, lessons, assessments, etc. Not to mention, it gives me the perfect opportunity to get my students moving, while they are listening and learning. It is a win-win opportunity!
As a Health/Physical Educator, I have the opportunity to create lessons that cross curricular areas. I use The Walking Classroom’s podcasts and other resources to teach and/or review lessons and objectives from core classes. My ability to introduce, teach, and review lessons that are cross-curricular helps reinforce students’ learning. Again, a win-win opportunity!
