Students Motivated to Exercise!

01.22.20
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

The Walking Classroom has done such an amazing job getting our students motivated to exercise more while reviewing necessary language arts skills. While walking, they have enjoyed the brain break from the regular classroom setting and have discovered the beauty of our natural surroundings!

The Walking Classroom’s additional resources have helped the teachers review the subject areas covered with rich conversation. These conversations have led to many “Aha!” moments.

The podcasts have provided much needed background knowledge. When presented with other learning materials, the students quickly relate what they have learned from The Walking Classroom’s podcasts.

Taking that brisk 20-minute walk while listening to the custom-written, kid-friendly podcasts has really enriched the students’ school experience. Even better, it aligns with our curriculum!

The auditory experience, along with the physical activity, has improved our students’ moods. It has also increased focus, and generated deep discussions that promote those higher thinking skills.

Since implementing the Walking Classroom, we feel the students retain information better, demonstrate more engagement in the classroom and show improved behavior throughout their school day. By providing this much needed movement while listening, the students are even scoring higher on benchmark tests.
