Games and Other Adventures Post-Podcast!

04.12.17
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

One of the ways we use our WalkKits is through the game Kahoot. I simply type the questions from the Teacher Guide into the Kahoot game, and then we play. My students love it! Playing games is an especially great way to keep my English language learners listening. They enjoy Kahoot and are so motivated to win!

We also use Screen Castify. I have my students tell what they learned from the WalkKit podcasts. Then they share these videos with others, giving each other feedback. I love this because it makes them talk about what they have learned!

Sometimes when I want the kids to practice in a quiz style without the excitement of a Kahoot game, then I put it on a Quizziz. I can easily upload it to Google Classroom, so that the students can take the quiz on their own.

I love the idea about using Screen Castify. I always have my students write about what they’ve learned and share it with one another. I love the idea of having them be able to create a video and share it. Thank you!

Excellent ideas! I am going to take a note from you and use Kahoot next week after our walk.
