Donation Allows 4th Grade to Follow in 5th Grade’s Footsteps!

posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

I had the opportunity to use the fifth grade WalkKits with my fourth grade students several years ago. We loved it so much. I knew it was exactly what I needed to meet my current students’ needs. I am so thankful for Quintiles’ donation of a class set of Program 4 WalkKits to my students.

I have a group of struggling students who haven’t felt very much success over the years. The Walking Classroom has been a great tool for students to learn outside of the traditional setting.

Listening to the podcasts has been very useful in exposing my students to important vocabulary, science, and social studies topics, and just getting out some of our energy! My students show a huge improvement focusing on their work after we walk.

Walking three to four times a week has also been a great conversation starter with my fellow staff members. They see us walking around the front of the school, and they want to know what we are doing. Several have even wanted their students to participate with us!

I can’t say thank you enough to Quintiles for their donation, and to those who worked so hard to create this great program. My students are learning so many wonderful things because of your hard work!
