TWC a Constant in Unique Situation

08.12.20
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

As a teacher, it is refreshing to have material ready for me, quizzes already created, and additional resources to help tie all of the learning together. That was especially helpful this year, as my class was in a unique situation while I was on maternity leave. The students experienced a lot of change, and many substitutes came and went. One thing that was a constant was their ability to participate in The Walking Classroom.

I knew exactly what content they were getting, and could check in on the quiz scores, even in my absence. It was a seamless transition once I returned. My students loved the ability to get up out of their seats and head outside to learn something relevant in a non-traditional way. We are so thankful for this program!

Your post was amazing. Our afterschool program is seeking ways to use The Walking Classroom virtually to interact with our students in a meaningful way.
