Sixty-degree temps mean walking outside!

03.30.16
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

My students are always excited when its time for our Walking Classroom lesson.

Since we live in Michigan and the weather hasn’t been very cooperative, we were super excited this week when we had 60 temps and were able to walk outside again.

Thanks again for donating to our class!

We have students walking in our cafeteria when the weather is bad. They still enjoy being able to get out of the regular classroom setting.

Here in Louisiana, we usually have good weather for walking during the school year. However, we have had quite a few really cold days the last couple of months. Luckily, we are able to walk in the high school gymnasium on cold or wet days. The students may not get the benefits of breathing fresh air from outdoors, but they still get to get out of their seats and move. The weather is warmer now, so we will be heading back outside again.

We have students walking around the classroom when it’s raining outside. They love it and luckily we have the space.

We have an area mapped out in our school to walk on those wet and/or cold days. It’s not nearly as nice, but we are out of our seat and moving!!! My students hate not to walk, so walking indoors solves that problem for us!!

Yes! Nicer weather definitely makes the walking classroom even more enjoyable than it already is!
