Several years ago, a teacher in my building had received The Walking Classroom. She was kind enough to share her class set with me. I was only able to use it once a week, but I quickly fell in love with it. Not long after using The Walking Classroom, I applied to get a set for my own class. I even bugged people, emailing so they wouldn’t forget about me.
Since I received my own class set from The Walking Classroom this year, I have really enjoyed it along with my students. They can’t wait to use it. Having been teaching for over 25 years, I have come to the realization that kids need to move as much as possible. Adults can’t even sit for long just listening and working. We teachers can’t expect small kids to do this.
I love the program! My kids are learning and moving. It is even helping with discipline. I have one student in particular that I gave a job as a leader. He beams every day he gets to lead. His attendance has even gotten better. Thank you for allowing me to use this program.
