TWC bringing figurative language to life

05.18.16
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

TWC has become a weekly adventure.

As we have been reviewing for our state testing we have used several of the podcasts to bring ideas and subjects back to our memories. One of the areas that my students have had a difficult time with all year has been the area of figurative language. All of those similes, metaphors, hyperboles, idioms and poetry terms have been a challenge to keep straight. Many of the podcasts have these topics included.

It has been fun to watch their faces as they listen to the podcast and are able to recall what we have studied and put it together in a whole new light.

It is so great to me that TWC reaches students in a way that nothing else can. There are many of my students that need that outlet and are able to recall the information learned through a podcast so much better than when it is taught in a regular classroom setting.

Thank you so much for helping my students be the best students they can be!
