Our school is a wonderful small Louisiana bayou school located in St. Martin Parish. We strive to provide the best education for all students even with limited resources at times.
Receiving The Walking Classroom has been a huge help. As the K-8 physical education teacher at our school, I actively use the program with my students at least three times a week. The Walking Classroom has become an integral part of our physical education curriculum, and the students look forward to walking, listening, and learning each day we put them to use. Since every podcast starts with a short health message, even health lessons have become routine by using The Walking Classroom!
Many lessons included on the WalkKits align with our state standards and/or GLEs. This helps us to provide successful enrichment in several subject areas. Our students excitedly tell their teachers how they learned more about a topic taught in class, and we are pleased with that!
