I teach fifth grade science. This year our favorite Walking Classroom podcast was Water Cycle (4-#30, STEM-#12, Complete-#148).
To begin our unit on this topic, we read Drop: The Adventure through the Water Cycle by Emily Kate Moon. We then utilized the podcast to dig deeper into the content and hear more of the vocabulary used through the podcast.
When we finished the podcast, we completed The Walking Classroom’s ready-made quizzes to review what we had learned! Lastly, we played the free online water cycle game suggested as a resource.
This was such an amazing way to kick off this unit and The Walking Classroom allowed us to do this in a different way that encouraged whole body movement!
