Students Walk with Purpose

04.29.20
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

My students have thoroughly enjoyed The Walking Classroom. Our school underwent rebuilding this year. We had no field or basketball court until late October, so this program gave the students the opportunity to walk around the school with purpose. The students were engaged in the lessons and the WalkKits were easy to use.

My third graders participate in a two day a week after school program. Many in this class fall below grade level in reading and math. To support their in-school learning, one of the teachers used The Walking Classroom as the primary curriculum. A favorite topic for the students? Volcanoes!

Our school has 85% of its students on free and reduced lunch. To be able to offer them this amazing program has been so wonderful!
