My students and I have been having a wonderful time with The Walking Classroom! Recently, we had some siblings of my students ask if they could participate when they heard how amazing the program has been. I figured out a way to get the siblings and my students into a small group to listen to a “never before heard” podcast. It really helped bond students and siblings in the post-walk discussion as they discussed the topic and related it back to some personal sibling experiences.
The fourth grade is now working on weather phenomena. The weather in New England has been pretty cold lately, and we’ve been able to experience it firsthand thanks to getting outside for our walks!!
