Today’s Walking Classroom podcast focuses on the Dust Bowl. The Dust Bowl was a period of terrible dust storms in the Southwest that occurred during the 1930s as a result of drought and poor agricultural practices. The Dust Bowl forced many families to leave struggling states like Oklahoma to try and look for work and escape the harsh weather conditions.
