Today’s Walking Classroom podcast teaches about the Aztecs, an ancient Mexican civilization. The Aztec city of Tenochtitlan was one of the great cities of the world. In addition to its prime location, which protected it from attack, it was quite luxurious with extravagant temples, canals, market squares, and wide streets. The entire Aztec civilization was wiped out by a small army of Spanish conquistadors led by a man named Cortez in the early 1500s.
