In this Walking Classroom lesson, the kids talk about the song, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and how its author, Jack Norworth originally wrote the lyrics, or words to the song, in 1908 because he was such a devoted baseball fan. It has become an American tradition to stand up, stretch, and sing the song during the 7th inning of baseball games.
