Today’s Walking Classroom talks about the use of riddles in the novel, The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. In a riddle, each line gives you a clue, and you have to piece the clues together like a detective to figure out the answer. Sometimes riddles use words and phrases that mean something other than what you think they mean when you first hear them, and you really have to think about the words.
