
Today’s Walking Classroom podcast talks about how the Union led Reconstruction efforts to rebuild the South following the Civil War. Although railroads and schools were built in the South during Reconstruction, many Southerners resented other changes that the Northerners started during Reconstruction. After Reconstruction, many laws were passed in the South that led to racial segregation.
