Today’s Walking Classroom podcast discusses an American poet of the 1800’s, Ralph Waldo Emerson. He believed that understanding the laws of nature and feeling connected to the natural world was essential to a meaningful life. The podcast discusses two of his best known poems — “Concord Hymn” and “A Nation’s Strength”, both of which celebrate the idea of sacrifice for the sake of the greater good.
