Today’s Walking Classroom talks about the effective use of prepositions and prepositional phrases. A preposition is a word that shows the relationship between other words in a sentence. For example, in the sentence: The bunny sat on the box, “on the box” is the prepositional phrase that tells where the bunny sat. Prepositional phrases add information to a basic sentence but are not required to make a sentence complete. Most prepositions describe where, when, or how.
