Today’s Walking Classroom focuses on Lewis and Clark and their quest to find a water route from America’s east coast to the Pacific Ocean. The expedition they led played a major role in exploring and mapping U.S territories. The relationship between the explorers and Native Americans, including Sacagewea, is an example of the interdependence of differing cultures. Although the Northwest Passage was never found, the expedition was considered a success because of all they learned along the way.
