Today’s Walking classroom podcast focuses on Joan of Arc, the famous French soldier. In the early 1400s, when she was twelve, Joan of Arc saw visions of the Saints who told her that it was her responsibility to save France from England. After disguising herself as a boy, Joan of Arc went on to win many battles for France until she was captured by a French Duke and sold to the British. She never gave up, even when she was wounded and tortured. Years after she was burned at the stake, the Catholic Church recognized her as a Saint.
