In today’s Walking Classroom, we will learn about the meaning of and purpose for using interjections. An interjection is a word or phrase that shows emotion or excitement, usually at the beginning of a sentence. For example, in the sentence, “Wow! We’re outside!” Wow! is the interjection, and is followed by an exclamation point. Sentences can take on entirely different meanings just by changing the interjection you use.
