Today’s Walking Classroom podcast continues discussing President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. The Gettysburg Address helped people focus on the big picture of what was at stake in the war and gave citizens a new way to understand what American government was supposed to be about–democracy and equality. Lincoln was so successful with his speech because he showed responsibility, humility, and respect.
