Today’s Walking Classroom discusses Feudal society that emerged during the Middle Ages. Feudal society was set up like a pyramid. At the top of the pyramid was the King. Underneath the King, there were lesser nobles, like Dukes and Earls, and beneath the lesser nobles were the peasants. Each level served the level above it. Lower levels of the pyramid were given land and protection in exchange for service and loyalty to the higher levels of the pyramid in times of war.
