Today’s Walking Classroom podcast talks about Emily Dickinson, a famous American poet. Dickinson was lonely her whole life. Her poetry helped her escape from the sadness and pain she experienced. In her twenties, Dickinson stopped going outside, focusing primarily on caring for her mother and writing poetry. Dickinson’s poem “I’m Nobody” reflects her views on fame and public exposure. She preferred to stay hidden and unnoticed in the safety of her home.
