
Today’s Walking Classroom podcast focuses on the effective and respected leader of the Nez Perce tribe, Chief Joseph. Chief Joseph was a military genius who was able to keep most of the members of his tribe safe as they were being chased off their land up toward Canada. Chief Joseph is famous for the speech he gave when he was forced to surrender only 40 miles from the Canadian border.
