
Today’s Walking Classroom podcast discusses the famous civil rights activist Booker T. Washington. The students discuss his life history, his belief in the power of education and his controversial “separate but equal” belief about civil rights. He had to overcome many obstacles in his own education and spent his life bringing knowledge and educational opportunities to others. Washington was instrumental in the success of the Tuskegee Institute.
