Podcasts Open a Whole New World!

01.03.18
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

I teach a 3rd-5th SDC classroom. My students either have learning disabilities and/or dyslexia. Listening to grade level standards-based podcasts has opened a whole new world for them.

Two of my students in particular struggle so much with reading. They are always so discouraged. But after every walk, they are the first to share a detail that they have heard. No reading required!

TWC has empowered them toward success. I am so grateful for the opportunity to unlock the world of knowledge for my students.

My students who struggle with reading amaze me with their comprehension when they listen to the material.

I completely agree with you! TWC has really encouraged my struggling students to speak up and share their own thoughts about the podcast that we are studying in class, especially my ESL students! It is inspiring to see students get excited about learning!
