Podcasts Align Well — TWC a Hit and Perfect Fit!

10.31.18
posted by Natalie Dekle

The Walking Classroom has been a hit with my third graders (and me)! I’ve found that several of the podcasts align well with our curriculum.

The other week we were reading biographies and autobiographies in class. After reading about Rosa Parks, we listened to a podcast about her that very afternoon! We also read a biography of Louis Braille and were thrilled to find a Walking Classroom podcast about him, too!

In our classroom, students have also been learning about different types of maps. The podcast about political and geographic maps was a perfect addition to our studies.

It is also such a joy to be able to walk outside in our gorgeous Oregon fall weather. We take in the colors of the changing leaves as well as the fresh air.
