I want to extend my gratitude for bringing The Walking Classroom to me and my delightful group of fourth graders. The excitement twinkles in their eyes when they know it’s a “walking” day.
I have several students who have profound language deficits in reading, so their involvement in this program lifts their spirits. All of my students benefit from fresh air and in our part of the country that means we’ll be bundled up and walking. This is thrilling to them!
My students’ knowledge is expanding with each lesson. I notice their questioning skills improving; their writing is developing, and their desire to learn is abundant.
Thank you again for making this an experience that ignites a spark in them as well as me.
