Curriculum Connections with TWC!

09.18.19
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

As teachers, we strive to find new ways to engage and encourage our learners, and this program is meeting that goal! We like that the lessons we listen to relate to our curriculum. It has been amazing how many of The Walking Classroom’s podcasts tie into our current class content.

The students especially enjoy the format of the program, “listening” in as other students teach a lesson. There have been several parents who have emailed to state their appreciation and support of the program and its content as well.

The addition of The Walking Classroom has been so beneficial to our sixth graders. The students are excited on the days that we walk, listen, and learn. When they see the WalkKit boxes out, they begin to ask immediately what content they will learn about!

All of our students have also expressed repeatedly that they love the chance to get moving outside and listen to a lesson. Please know that there are 52 sixth graders that are learning, moving (and having fun!) thanks to this program.
