Circle of Nations School Strolls with TWC

03.31.21
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

At Circle of Nations School, our students walk, listen, and learn with The Walking Classroom twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays. They enjoy being outside so much. In fact, they often want to try to get through two podcasts so they can walk twice as long! However, we are only doing one at a time, so we can discuss.

Thank you for providing this teaching technique, and for allowing our students to learn this way. What a great innovative way to get students to walk, get fresh air, and learn! We are hoping to get more teachers involved as we go here.

The faculty and staff have commented on the fact that they also think it is great for the students to be doing this. Currently, our fourth and fifth grade are using The Walking Classroom, but we hope to have our upper grades using the program as well.

The students are very excited about what they are learning through The Walking Classroom’s podcasts! They are taking care of the equipment, and seem to enjoy the podcasts as much as the walk itself! Thanks again!
