Since 2007, Healthier Generation’s America’s Healthiest Schools program has honored schools for the key role they play in advancing the health and well-being of students, staff, and families. The Walking Classroom integrates physical activity into the school day, which is a core component of the America’s Healthiest Schools Physical Education & Activity topic area award criteria. Students listen to curriculum-aligned podcasts while taking a walk!
Healthier Generation is pleased to announce that 879 schools across 30 states have been recognized as America’s Healthiest Schools for 2024, with 66 All-Star awardees achieving recognition in all nine categories. Even more exciting, 49 Walking Classroom schools made the list of America’s Healthiest Schools!
