A Breath of Fresh Air

06.09.22
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

Pelham Elementary is a small Title I school at the base of the Cumberland Plateau. The student population is around 145 students in PreK-8th grade. Our students love the outdoors, and being able to participate in The Walking Classroom has given students a breath of fresh air, in more ways than one.

Students beg to use The Walking Classroom instead of watching an educational video on their chromebooks. The many podcasts in the program provide an array of topics that fit into a wide variety of classroom standards.

We use The Walking Classroom to enrich classroom learning, build gaps in knowledge that have been forgotten, and spark a love for learning. Other teachers have asked to borrow The Walking Classroom because their students have heard our students talk about how awesome it is!

Meredith Maxey
Special Education Lead Teacher
Pelham Elementary
