Support Specifically for STEM

05.17.22
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

I am the STEM teacher at a K-4 Title 1 school in rural North Carolina. I first heard of The Walking Classroom years ago when I was a fourth grade teacher. I was overjoyed they had WalkKits specifically for STEM content. However, as our county had some financial challenges, there simply were not enough funds available for me to purchase The Walking Classroom for my STEM students.

I eventually received a grant, and am now using my class set with every third and fourth grade class I teach (that’s ten classes total!). Once during the week they have STEM, we walk, listen, and learn with The Walking Classroom’s STEM Program.

Students have given me nothing but positive feedback, and even I have learned some things from the podcasts. I cannot thank you enough for allowing my students this learning experience. My one set of WalkKits is impacting nearly 200 students this school year. It’s been wonderful.
