Perfect Year to Have TWC!

12.22.21
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

The 2020-2021 school year was a year to remember! And the perfect year to have The Walking Classroom for my class. As we all know, because of the pandemic, teaching looked very different from the past years. As a fully remote classroom teacher, I taught all third grade subjects virtually, working from my living room to reach 22 students who were in their own homes.

Learning and trying to make our school day look as familiar as possible to these eight year olds was my goal. I knew that these students would feel special and would love using this innovative program as they had never used it before. Still, I reluctantly distributed my WalkKits to the students, fearing some might never be returned to me or that others would have difficulty using the program. I was so frustrated that I couldn’t be in front of them to help.

I am happy to report that ALL students were able to access the program, either with their WalkKits or by using the newly released and developed web-based version of The Walking Classroom app. This web availability was a game changer. It was very easy for students to use this web based version, and I am hoping it remains available!

Thank you, Walking Classroom, for always thinking ahead and planning for the best outcomes for students!
