Year Long Hit with STEM Students!

08.23.17
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

The Walking Classroom was a hit all year long with my students! As the end of the school year approached, my students and I took some time to reflect. We thought about all the learning they had acquired over the year. Without a doubt, The Walking Classroom played a big role in my fourth grade students’ education!

As a STEM school, we incorporate technology all day long. Having my students create their own podcast modeled after The Walking Classroom seemed only natural! All of my students eagerly anticipated this opportunity. They collaborated to research and write a script with their group. Some of my students even wanted to create a quiz based on their podcast.

In creating their podcasts, the students used google docs to collaborate with their group members. They also incorporated additional technology. They used Vocaroo or Read & Write to record their podcast. They went beyond my wildest expectations to create a podcast worthy of The Walking Classroom!

We concur! Be on the lookout for a webinar from The Walking Classroom on that topic in early 2018!
