We recently had a cookout for the children that live in the Lincoln Height Community. The Center is open for the summer and after-school programs that are located in a very poor community in Halifax County. The children were so excited to listen to the video on YouTube that explained The Walking Classroom.
The staff reviewed the teacher handbook and discussed with the children how exercise and learning can be done at the same time. To see the children’s little eyes open up and smile and discuss what they learned about all the many topics they can learn not inside a classroom but outside.
