Webinar: Get your afterschool students engaged in learning with The Walking Classroom

09.12.22
posted by Lee Ann Obringer

A fun way for students in afterschool to get supplemental academic instruction, fresh air, exercise, and more!

The Walking Classroom is simple: kids listen to fun, educational podcasts that align with content standards while they take a brisk walk.

This effective, fun, and engaging program is easily implemented in afterschool and is evidence-based to perfectly align with ESSER funding requirements.

Every podcast is supported by a lesson plan, quiz, and tons of supplemental resources.

Attend this afterschool webinar and get:

  • Ideas for combining physical activity with learning
  • Ideas for introducing and incorporating social-emotional skills
  • Ideas for using the podcast topic library as a starting point for building a rich afterschool curriculum

Don’t miss this opportunity to bring a new way of learning to your afterschool students.

    Hello,
I’ve registered but the webinar is actually during my tutoring time. Could I have a recording sent to me?
I really believe physical activity is tied to learning and we do have an after school tutoring program which is computer based. I’d love to learn how to tie in the walking classroom to our after school program.
    Thank you,
    Killeen Tapia

Of course! We’ll be sending the recording and other materials that will be mentioned to all registrants the day after the webinar. If you need more information or would like to chat please reach out at info@thewalkingclassroom.org. Happy Trails!
