How to Support The Walking Classroom

The goal of The Walking Classroom is to improve the health and build the knowledge base of as many children as possible by getting them walking, listening and learning.  In order to do that, we need your help! 

Your generosity will help us reach our goals.  How will your generosity help your organization reach its goals?

The Walking Classroom provides the ultimate philanthropic opportunity.  It proves that your organization is dedicated to the health and education of our youth, and students and decision- makers will recognize that commitment.  Plus, your gift goes a long way.

A donation of $3000 outfits a classroom with a set of 30 WalkKits and an extensive Teacher’s Guide. The WalkKits are durable, and teachers are encouraged to share them with other classes.  Therefore a $3000 class set that is shared between two classes ends up as a $50 donation per child.  Amortized over two years, that cost is down to $25 per child.  Three years = $17 per child.  

Opportunities to Support The Walking Classroom

Support of 1-9 classrooms includes: 

• Recognition on WalkKit storage case, Teacher’s Guide, and take-home materials
• The opportunity for an in-school media event
• Media kit including a press release for local papers and national publications
• Recognition of your company and a live link on the donor page of our website
• Opportunities to provide take-home materials for students (lanyards, water bottles, etc.)
• A "Proud Supporter of The Walking Classroom" badge for your website

 

Support 10+ classrooms:  All of the above plus recognition on all WalkKits

Support 100+ classrooms: All of the above plus recognition featured in the footer of all Walking Classroom webpages for a year.  By request, Ms. Fenn, Executive Director and creator of The Walking Classroom, will speak at your annual meeting.
